What is your career or vocation?

Advising, Counseling, Recruiting and promoting education as the great equalizer. Throughout my career I have been involved in mentoring and guiding people.

How has your education impacted your career and your life?

As a single parent who raised two children, education has made it possible for me to provide for my children. I enjoy learning and since the world is evolving as I write, I will always continue to learn.

From where you are now, what do you believe about the role of education, especially college?

Having an education has made me a well rounded individual. Life long learning is my goal. Obtaining a college degree gives students the opportunity to compete with other students in a tight market.

What advice do you have for the students of Generation TX?

Take advantage of every opportunity. Believe that you can make a difference and that you will achieve your goals. Always look ahead with the end in mind.

Why do you believe in Generation TX?

This is a great opportunity for students to access educational information.

What are your goals as a GenTX supporter?

My goal as an academic advisor is to bridge the gaps that exist between ABE-GED students and enrolling in credit classes.
