"Attended the GenTXpert training today. Thanks to everyone that helped put this together and hopefully we can all help each other make this generation excited about going to college!"

What is your career or vocation?

I work for Foundation Communities, a non-profit organization in Austin. I am the Administrator of the Cash for College program. We help students fill out the FAFSA/TASFA applications, but also support them through the financial aid process.

From where you are now, what do you believe about the role of education, especially college?

I believe that having a college education makes you a better person as a whole. Going to college not only teaches you about the career you are studying, but it also teaches you responsibility, team work, research skills, communication skills and many other life skills that you will use on a daily basis.

What advice do you have for the students of Generation TX?

You can be what ever you want to be, and nobody can hold you back. There is enough people and resources out there to help you through any situation you may face.

Why do you believe in Generation TX?

I believe in Generation TX because everyone needs something to belong to, and Generation TX is for ALL Texas students and families. Even if you already are a part of other community organization or student organizations, this is bigger...just like Texas!

What are your goals as a GenTX supporter?

My goal as a GenTX supporter is to provide all of my knowledge and support to any and all students and families that I can. What ever it takes to help this be the Generation to have that college going spirit!
